Hi Dick,

Hmm, indeed there does not seem to exist an easy way to download....well, Git is MS now, so "straightforward" is banned :)

You can click on the "Raw" button though, the select Save As in your browser to save it.

Chris,

Or you go to the root of the repository and download the whole repo as a ZIP file.

Yes, you can start now.
So far I have the following names:

German
Wolfgang, Karl

Italian
Wolfgang, Giuseppe

Hi Karl / Wolfgang / Giuseppe

It´s about the ErrorDialog window and the three missing defines in the german.resx

https://github.com/X-Sharp/XSharpPublic ... og.prg#L37

ERRORDIALOG_TITLE
ERRORDIALOG_CLOSE
ERRORDIALOG_COPY

i suggest to translate the english default caption texts to:

"Application Error - " -> "Anwendungsfehler - "
"Close" -> "Beenden"
"&Copy To Clipboard" -> "In Zwischenablage kopieren"

so the entries to add to the german.resx should be:

<data name="ERRORDIALOG_TITLE" xml:space="preserve">
<value>Anwendungsfehler - </value>
</data>
<data name="ERRORDIALOG_CLOSE" xml:space="preserve">
<value>Beenden</value>
</data>
<data name="ERRORDIALOG_COPY" xml:space="preserve">
<value>In Zwischenablage kopieren</value>
</data>

The same entries go with italian texts to the italian.resx

Sounds good.

But ATM, i struggle with the files. Downloaded generix and german, opening with Notepad++ works, but shows plain text, xml/html coded. Opening generix.resx with VS2017 via File/Open fails with "Die ResX-Datei: Unerwartetes Token '>'. Erwartet wurde das Token '='. Zeile 44, Position 91. kann nicht analysiert werden."
If i count correctly in Notepad, this is line 44:
<meta name="request-id" content="D409:73EF:103DF7D:1903929:5D30BF45" data-pjax-transient>
Pos 91 in front of the closing ">"

Anyway, i suppose, i do something wrong, as usual. How are we supposed to work with these files? It can't mean hacking in this xml directly, no?

Karl

Exactly, no simple and straightforward way :)

Although there does exist something else, you can go one level up, find the file in the list and right-click on it, then select in the browser "save link as".

Hi Karl,

In VS i opened a new "XML-File", selected the default content and inserted the raw german.resx content. Then i removed all RT_MSG_DOSERR_xxx entries and added at the end of the file the three missing defines. The xml file shows no errors and is saved as "Unicode(UTF-8 mit Signature) - codepage 65001", so it think the content is ok.

Attached is the german.xml. Look at it with VS or Notepad++.

Hir Robert or Chris,

Since I have no experience with XML files, I have written a small app to load Generic and assign items from the national res., along with the message text ID. In this way, I managed to correct all texts in Slov852 in a few hours. I haven't added any new ones, just corrected the errors in the existing text.

HI
manual:
1. Push "Load Generic"
(Generic.resx must be in the working directory)
2. Push "Select nat.res." select path for national file
3. Push "Load nat.res"

I corrected the text in Visual Studio - XML editor. The table displayed by my app is used to look up the wrong text. In the XML editor you can find it according to the column "LCIDNAT".
I pack work directory included exe file, I hope it will not be a problem.

Replying on 9953:

Hello Jurjen,

I followed your steps but nothings changes after selecting the Dutch file + step 3.
I did notice your included generic.resx is smaller (74 Kb) than the one I downloaded (using the Raw + Save as instructions from Chris, 124 Kb). But also when I use that resx file I do not see any Dutch translations.

Any idea why?

Also has it been decided if we should do anything with the "DOS" containing translations?
