Hi all,
especially Robert, i use for years now VO and VN2ADO against MS SQL Server in a long grown Application.
It did the move from Clipper to VO, then with the help from Robert and VN2ADO from DBF to SQL-Server,
but did not make the switch to Vulcan.
No i want to try it again (and need to find a way for my customers) with X-Sharp.
We use very intensive two tools, Vn2ADO for SQL-connections and bBrowser instead of DataTables, with a bit of customizing.
So, having the source code for those tools, is X-Sharp ready to do the job?
I want to recompile it, and then improve it step by step.
thanks for your feedback and opinions, what is the best way to move over?
Best regards,
Oliver

Oliver,
Vn2Ado with the VN runtime works fine.
I will create a XS2Ado asap.
At this moment my hands are tied with the DBFCDX work.
If you thought ADO and COM stuff was complicated, well that is nothing compared with the DBFCDX format...
I am getting there, but I am worried about my hair

HI Robert,
hope you started well into the new year!
All the best, success and health of course...!
Are there any news on your plan to bring up the XS2ADO Library?
I bought the bBrowser 4 vo X# so the only missing thing to start my conversion now
is the VO2ADO Library equivalent in X#...
Thanks for a short reply and thank you for your great job with X#
best regards
