Couple of items about VAL()
In VFP Val() respects set("Point") too
SET POINT TO "."
? VAL("7.53") && 7.53
? VAL("7,53") && 7.00
SET POINT TO ","
? VAL("7.53") && 7,00
? VAL("7,53") && 7,53

Foxpro SQL functions - sqlParameters for sqlExec()
Small notice to "?" in Foxpro sqlExec.
After ? follows expression, which is evaluated in sqlExec call.
This can be field in used cursor or expression like ?(date()-10)
