So far you are the only one that reports this.
And I am also not aware that we are writing things to the System32 folder.

There should be a file with a name like "Setup Log 2019-08-28 #001.txt" in your temp folder. Can you mail that to me ?

Add. note: on this machine NO VS is installed. But up to now, all installs went smooth

Finally, just found, the failing setup has removed the old compiler version... Jay...

Uff, back again. Did a #1 method: shut down, new start. And, removed the tick at "VS2015 installation support". Now, the setup succeeded.
Would be interesting, to "re-set" the vs support, but i'm lazy...

the setup doesnΓö¼Γöñt work for me. iΓö¼Γöñve noticed that none of the first 4 checkboxes ( gac registration etc. ) in the setup are checked by default. But even if i check them i get Xsharp.rt.dll etc. not found errors at compile time. When i look at the gac folders none of xsharp dirs are there ? I completely removed XSharp and tried the XSharpSetup201GAFox.exe installer again. Still the same problem. Why are the first 4 checkboxes unchecked ?

This is most likely a side effect of some code in the installer that we used (in the past) to enable/disable the option to install the VS Help on your machine.
We had forgotten to remove these checks.
I'll update the installer and will let you know when I have a new installer.
