This build will NOT be released to the public.
Build 2.18 will be the next public build.
Here is a short message to inform you about our progress this summer.
First, we are completing the test for the upcoming 2.17 release. This release has several bug fixes for (small) issues found in the compiler. There are also some changed the runtime. Most of the changes are in our Visual Studio integration. You can find the what's new document here:

This build is for our FOX subscribers only.
A public build 2.18 is expected in the first weeks of September.
In the meantime, we are also hard at work to prepare our X# Summit in Memmingen (October 12-13).
On the event, we also plan to show the first version of the X# SQL RDD and hopefully also the new Visual Studio project system for .Net "Next" (6,7,8) so you can develop for these new versions of .Net with X# and Visual Studio.
Finally, Robert is also speaking at South West Fox in the week after our summit. If you're from the US and you cannot make it to Europe this autumn, you may be able to come to Phoenix, AZ. We are a sponsor of the event, so we will also have a "booth" there, and we will be doing a vendor session and a regular session. On the Sunday afternoon after the event, we also plan to do a workshop demonstrating you how you can move your FoxPro apps to .Net with X#.
In this article you will find more information about the speakers, sessions and schedule for the X# summit in Memmingen in October.
Please note that we are still looking for 1 or 2 speakers. We are open for all your suggestions.
And if you have specific wishes for session content, please also let us know.
We are planning to have 2 parallel tracks for a part of the event. One track will be focused on developers with a VO/Vulcan background, the other track will be focused on developers with a Visual FoxPro background.
The rest of the event will have sessions with a more "General" content that think are of interest for everybody.
Register this month to qualify for the "early bird" discount. Starting August 1 the prices will go up !

As you can see, we have updated our website.
The CMS has been moved to a new version of Joomla, and we have also switched to a new template.
We have also changed the commenting module. The previous one was no longer supported.
The new commenting module allows better formatting of comments and threading of comments.
Of course, with such a big update, there may be issues.
Please let us know (with a post in the forum or with a comment) if you see anything that is not working as expected.
Recently, there was a question on our forum about how to declare the right prototype to call a function in an external (unmanaged) DLL. The solution to that problem was selecting a different convention.
In this article, we will explain what calling conventions are and what the effect is on your code when you switch from one calling convention to another.
Today we have released a public installer for XSharp Cahors 2.16.
