First of all, we want to wish everybody the best for this new year.

Then, we would like to inform you about our progress:
We are busy finalizing build 2.19 of X#. This build will fix some issues that were reported and adds some new features.
There are new features in the compiler, VS integration and runtime.
One of the things that we have added, is support for some FoxPro embedded SQL statements, such as CREATE CURSOR, CREATE TABLE, ALTER TABLE and INSERT.
Other embedded SQL commands will follow in a next build.
We expect to release 2.19 to our beta testers in week 3. Then, when things go as planned, we should be able to release build 2.19 in week 4.

During our presentation in Memmingen, we have also announced some other changes.
Let's summarize these here with some expected release dates

We are also planning another X# summit 2024. We have reserved accommodation in the HYPERION Hotel in München (Munich) on October 17-18. More information about this will follow in a few weeks.

Finally, we will move this website to another hosting provider later this month. We hope that this will not cause too many hickups. The website itself will not change, only the location where it is hosted.

After several years of keeping our prices stable, we are now forced to raise some of our prices starting January 1, 2024 to keep up with inflation.

The price of a new FOX subscription remains EUR 999 but the renewal discount will be reduced from 30% to 25%.

The prices for the various third-party products, such as ReportPro, SEUIXP and Xs2Ado, will remain the same for now.

The price of ADS licenses will be increased with approximately 5%.

Today we have released an installer (for our FOX subscribers) for XSharp Cahors 2.18.0.4 which contains some fixes for problems reported with X# 2.17, and some new features.

A new public build will be released later this week.
 

The X# Summit in Memmingen has ended last Friday.
We can look back at 2 days full of interesting sessions.
It was good to see many familiar faces.

The X# development team was present with all four developers.
Fortunately, Chris was also present again, after having been away for 12 years.
We have looked back at the last year and forward to what's to come next year.
Photos and the "roadmap" will be published here later this week.

We will also upload the presentations and examples to our download area (for the attendees).

We plan to do a similar event next year, middle October, in the South of Germany.
We have not made a final decision about the location. Stay tuned for more information.

We're also finalizing the beta test of X# 2.18. With a little luck, we will be able to release that build end of this week.

Here is a short message to inform you about our progress this summer.

First, we are completing the test for the upcoming 2.17 release. This release has several bug fixes for (small) issues found in the compiler. There are also some changed the runtime. Most of the changes are in our Visual Studio integration. You can find the what's new document here:

This build is for our FOX subscribers only.

A public build 2.18 is expected in the first weeks of September.

In the meantime, we are also hard at work to prepare our X# Summit in Memmingen (October 12-13).

On the event, we also plan to show the first version of the X# SQL RDD and hopefully also the new Visual Studio project system for .Net "Next" (6,7,8) so you can develop for these new versions of .Net with X# and Visual Studio.

Finally, Robert is also speaking at South West Fox in the week after our summit. If you're from the US and you cannot make it to Europe this autumn, you may be able to come to Phoenix, AZ. We are a sponsor of the event, so we will also have a "booth" there, and we will be doing a vendor session and a regular session. On the Sunday afternoon after the event, we also plan to do a workshop demonstrating you how you can move your FoxPro apps to .Net with X#.
