A short message to inform you about the X# 3 progress.
We had announced X# 3 for April, but unfortunately we need a few more weeks. Beta 3 has been released last week and is looking very good. There are a few minor things that we need to look at before releasing X# 3.
We now expect to release it around May 15. We hope / plan to also release new versions of ReportPro 2 and 3 as well as Xs2Ado at the same time, so when you use these products you can migrate to X# 3 without problems. However, we're not sure about the status of bBrowser. If you have the source code you can recompile it yourself. There should be very few problems. We'll contact the owner of bBrowser to ask about his plans for X# 3..
Next week we will publish a detailed list of the changes in X# 3 compared with the latest version of X# 2.
Please note that there will be NO public version of X# 3. If you want it you need to become a FOX subscriber. You can become a subscriber for EUR 499,50 (for a half year of support) or EUR 999 (for a full year of support).

Just a quick question about the fact that X# 3 won't be available for non Fox members. Are these assumptions correct:
1 Non Fox members can download 2.24.0.1 (with some limitations compared to Fox members like a debug instead of a release version if I remember correctly)
2 No new 2.x versions become available. Only Fox members may receive DLL's with critical adaptions, in case these are necessary
3 X# 3.x and updates are available as long as a user has an active Fox subscription
4 For anyone not continuing the subscription, they will keep using 2.24.0.1 or whatever the last 3.x version was they obtained when they were last Fox subscribers
In case of 4 x yes, I wonder how that relates with the X# Open Source posts. Would that implicate that a non Fox member who can figure out how to build a X# installation from the 16 sln(x) files in the Github zip can still use the 3.x updates?
My questions are mainly curioisty. As long as I keep creating software with (partial) X# code I will most likely keep my Fox subscription, even if I don't use the newest version. For me (and for now) the support you provide is the main reason. New functionality far less; after all VO from long ago also still serves me well with only some minor issues.
