The VO2Btrieve Class library does not come with the Btrieve Client software. You must have the client software installed on your workstation (and optionally the workstation server engine) to be able to work with the class library.

Since most developers will only use Vo2btrieve when they have to communicate with another application that uses Btrieve, that should cause no problems, since these application will have installed the client software already.

The only file directly referenced by VO2Btrieve is wbtrv32.dll

If you want to run the requester on the workstation you need the following files:

If you want to run the workstation database engine you need the following files (both for Windows NT and Windows 95/98)

The most current versions of these files can usually be downloaded from the Pervasive FTP site: FTP://ftp.pervasive.com

Also the Setup information for this file must be present in the Workstation's registry, at the branch: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINETechnologies
