Hi Kees,
Kees Bouw wrote: Mon Sep 29, 2025 3:21 pm The application was originally made in Visual Objects including the shellwindow, a splitwindow with bBrowser controls and a very extensive menu. Re-creating the menu system for a Windows.Forms form would be a lot of work and complicated because of the code the menu options execute. The menu is changed in the code as well. So I would like to keep that as it is for a while. Re-creating the entire window would be even more work. There is a lot of code attached and the bBrowsers can't be translated easily to Windows.Forms. Eventually it will have to be done but hopefully then there will be a bBrowser version that works in Windows.Forms.
Do you mean you are using bBrowsers inside the ShellWindow? Yes, that would be a problem probably, but the menu itself can be relatively easily converted to winforms, if you want sent it to me and I will send you back the winforms version. And adjusting the winforms menu while running is extremely easy (and more powerful) than doing it for VO menus.

Have you tried also the opposite approach? To keep the app as VOGUI and start adding new WinForms windows to it. Or even replace some of your VO windows with WinForms equivalents and when you are eventually finished with changing everything to WinForms, replace also the Shell window to a .Net form and get rid of the the VOGUI completely.
