Record 2 will not update and will show a disabled time picker because it has no matching record in the master dbf.
See attachment.
Next post will contain a video to show it is working when a matching is added externally.

Thanks for your help Jamal, but I must have some other corruptions somewhere in my VO. If you're using my aef, databases and cdx files, then something is wrong at my end. Here is what I get using exactly the same files:

Hi Jamal,
i see you´re using SP4b. It seems that with this DTP version a unchecked time checkbox still shows a greyed and not a blank value. In the X# DTP Version it´s possible to show a null_date, but not a empty time, as a blank value. That´s the reason why i´ve posted the changed SetDateTime(), so a empty time behaves the same now - at least in the X# version.

If the X# works by showing a blank date/time, that is a nice improvement over SP4.
