Hello Robert,
Well this is really an improvement! I don't have it in C# solutions. Is there a way you can switch it on in C#? Entities are a bit separated because of the CodeLens reference above it but still a C# program always looks like a random mess and this line would make it at least a bit better.
Your questions:
1 Before, for sure.
2 I personally would not need it optional, but in general almost all changes have a potential element of controversy in it so an option (with default=on) would please every user.
