Hello Chris,

Adding to your remark: maybe it's a good idea if users working with X# can post a request (maybe in a new separate thread) for subjects in the X# documentation project? If others then think, hey, we've dealt with that already, they can add their documentation to the project.

Hi Dick,

I plan to add such a feature to the docs site, but unfortunately I'm one of the few people that is never able to do all what is needed. (shame on me: I have never tried to solve the issue between WPF and VO).

Good afternoon Wolfgang,

Yesterday I uploaded a new version of my eNotes to your eNotes web area - it is version _212.

Because you have done some scripting to make the screen presentation better, it would seem that anything new I post does not automatically show.

Also, is it going to be OK for me to remove older versions - like the current _194 ?

I thought your idea was for me to manage 'stuff' to relieve the pressure on your time ;-0)

I don't intend to update too regularly!

Regards,
Phil.

Hi Phil,

your newest file is shown in the top of the list - the files are sorted by upload date descending.

If you would like to add/change the description, download the file enotes.txt to your PC, change it as you like and upload it again.

These are the instructions Barbara has prepared for you:

Code: Select all

To insert description for a .chm file:
Use the text file enotes.txt and insert the description next to the filename (separated by "***") as in the following example:

###WPF_validation_101.chm***Test description WPF validation
###VulcanLive2014_PHH_102b.chm***Test description Vulcan live 2014
###ReportsNPrinting_81b.chm***Test description Reportprinting

Hint: Every new line (=Filename) has to start with a "###"
Of course you can remove any file and it will be away also from the page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Hi Phil,

and since this is a Linux server: the file names are case-sensitive.

Thanks W & B,

Will give this a go later today.

First I must post a short video clip in Chi-Chat of my sample Reporting Services 'Toggling' report.

Speak soon,
Phil.

Hi Wolfgang

I have attached a PDF which may help with your Documentation Project. Is that the sort of thing you had in mind?

Hi Terry,

yes, this for sure very helpful! Thank you very much!

If you like, I can give you a user so you can contribute yourself, or I can copy this PDF in the wiki.

Hi Wolfgang

Either Way whichever is easier for you/the project as a whole.

Please don't forget when I get to X-Sharp bits it'll be largely guess work and need vetting.

Hi Terry,

if you plan to contribute more, then a user will be the better choice.
If this is the only contribution for now, I will insert it for you and add the credits.
