State of moving our application "RADIX" to X#

We are in the final phase of moving to X#. Now about 300 of our customers are already working with the X# version (this means some thousands of work places). Customers, that download the newest version, are automatically switched to Dotnet. They (or our support) can switch back to Win32 (VO) manually in case of any errors. Every week there are still some errors that must be fixed. But it is a number of errors that we expected and we can manage to fix. We hope that we can make the final move to X# within the next month.

Finally we are developing in X#.
It's a feeling of freedom after being fixed to the VO Repositories for about 25 years.

Hi Arne,
Congratulations!
We are also transporting two of our three huge applications to X#. Almost at the finish line.
Best regards,
Leonid

Robert,
The company that I represent has been FOX for several years. We have a special account that does not represent the developer, but it is used to purchase subscriptions and licenses for various software products that we use in development.
At the moment, X# does not bring us income, because we have not yet completed the transport of the code from VO to X#. We planned to do this before the end of this autumn. But besides the code transport itself, some serious errors in the compiler were found, such as _SIZEOF, M->, which slowed us down. So now the revenue from our apps comes from VO only. As soon as we start receiving income from our programs on X#, then personally I will definitely purchase a second FOX under my personal account.
Best regards,
Leonid

We think about the same. We have 2 Fox programs with yet minimal use of X#, also for us VO is 95% of the "paid program code". We see this as in investment in the future but apart from that, we have had such excellent support in some earlier cases that objectively speaking, that alone justified a part the Fox expenses..
Developments are now such that it is likely that a conversion will start this year at a client where we have 1, shortly 2 developers. If that's starting to work, we will go for a 3rd Fox and we will keep the other 2 as long as X# conversion is still due, even if not done shortly, and of course for after the conversion.
So our decision for Fox subscriptions is partly actual use, and partly expected future use.
