Recently a client using ADS wanted to extend the license. As experienced earlier it took a lot of effort, patience and time trying to get something done from SAP. It then appeared that now https://www.sigmasd.com/ is charging and creating ADS license files. In our case we received a new serial number for the existing license and a new validation code for the extension, as usual.

They do not provide the software but where further really helpful.

For downloading ADS 11, the link below still works, apparently the latest version is 11.24:

SAP "supports" only ADS 12. It took them more than a week to let the so called SAP Market Place show me a ADS download. That was 12.0.0.0 while I read there was supposed to be a SP/2 which I would not expect to be called 12.0.0.0 (which we use ourselves). So I asked SAP again....

Did anybody install an ADS >11.20 (the latest we have installed) or >12.0.0.0? If so, are there any issues with these later versions?

Hi Dick,
in the past I had to deal directly with SAP and it took longer to have fulfilled an order.
But they have changed now and I have to order to a company that sits near to Florence now - and now my order is delivered in less than a day, and every time they send me a link to download the software together with the credentials.
But if you ask me for the software company that has the most deficient CRM software, my answer is very clear: Oracle.

Hi Dick,
on 01.12.2017 SAP released SP 2 with the Revision: 12.0.0.02.
This version runs without problems even on Windows 2019 Server.
This ist the last available version. The end of the mainstream maintenance is set to 31.12.2022.
Whatever that means.

In the meantime SAP has added ADS 12 downloads again to my account and that includes SP2. End of mainstream maintenance means that they don't maintain ADS since 2017 and don't maintain it in 2022 either, I guess :dry:

I am unfamiliar with Oracle environments but it's remarkable how bad software (especially visible in websites) of some large companies work, like Microsoft, SAP and apparently Oracle.

From time to time I get a mail that I have to do something on accounts like Microsoft. I nearly always have to reserve a few hours for that because it never works. It doesn't save for example, regardless the browser.
