I want to delete a trial project but it is apparently "locked" and I haven't found a way to unlock it.

Any advice would be appreciated.

XIDE or Visual Studio ?

That must be XIDE. You must have it open in another instance of XIDE, so you just need to close this. Then it will be possible to remove the project entry.
